The United AI Alliance is supporting projects that will combine the power of AI/ML and appropriate computing technology infrastructure to support quick and affective diagnoses of diseases and conditions such as cancers, brain tumors, and for key health screening across Africa’s public health sector, given the huge capacity gap in the sector
Climate Science
Access to timely and up-to-date data and information to enable effective national mitigation and adaption have been a key challenge. Data and technology tools for accessing available global and local multi-source datasets and for creating models and friendly insights for policy makers are game changers. The United AI program is helping to deliver compute infrastructure (mobile workstation/on-premise servers with data science tools and softwares) and data science capacity training to nations in African and Latin America to support NSOs, Ministries of Environment and other relevant agencies with data technology infrastructure and data science capacity to model climate change impacts (flood, food security, water security etc.) required for policy and decision making.
